Safeguarding Policy
Elevate&Co Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, tutors, and volunteers to share this commitment fully.
Our Commitment We follow the statutory guidance set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children. Every person working with children through Elevate&Co holds a current enhanced DBS certificate and has been through our safer recruitment process before working with any child.
Designated Safeguarding Lead Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Rachael, Founder and Principal of Elevate&Co. Any safeguarding concern must be reported to the DSL immediately and without delay.
Reporting a Concern If you have a concern about the welfare of a child, report it without delay. Do not investigate yourself. Contact the DSL directly, or if a child is in immediate danger, call 999. You can also contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000.
Online Safety All online tutoring sessions are conducted via approved platforms only. Tutors must not communicate with students outside of agreed platforms and must not share personal contact details with students or families.
Confidentiality All safeguarding information is kept confidential and shared only on a need-to-know basis with relevant professionals and authorities.
Training All Elevate&Co tutors and staff receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role before working with any child. Training is reviewed and refreshed regularly.
Review This policy is reviewed annually or whenever there is a change in statutory guidance, whichever comes first.
